Connexio Utility is a comprehensive online supplier management tool provided by Achilles Information GmbH from which utility companies in Germany and parts of Europe can benefit.
Achilles made it its business - ordered by purchasing companies - to identify new sources of supply and to continuously verify suppliers. On behalf of utility companies from Germany and Eastern and Central Europe, Connexio verifies suppliers on the basis of predefined criteria, specified by these utility companies.
The pre-qualification and the structured supplier profile provide utility companies with a detailed insight in the performance and efficiency of potential suppliers and minimize possible risks even before starting a new project

New DSC Solution for a consistent Contract Processing in SAP for Utilities and SAP CRM
Especially for contracts SAP standard intends objects to be edited in SAP CRM. DSC's Bidirectional Contract Replikation allows contracts to be created and processed in both SAP systems, also considering mass rate changes and changes on contract accounts or installation data done via report. An intelligent product determination additionally replicates even the history of a contract or installation from SAP IS-U to SAP CRM where it is displayed in detail. |

Account Balance Display

DSC add-on for extending the account balance display by deregulation data
The account balance display in FI-CA and therefore
in SAP for Utilities generally is very variable in terms of formatting document lines. In order to allow an overall evaluation of the complex business transactions in unbundling environment, the new DSC add-on offers the possibility to display the complex relations of the deregulated environment - with regard to the account balance items - in an unprecedented clarity.
Hence, the FI-CA account balance display becomes the central tool to analyze the comprehensive business transactions and processes in collections management.
The enhanced clarity increases the efficiency in working with the account balance display. Therefore, the DSC solution opens completely new solutions in the context of account clearing.

1st place for DSC in EnBW Suppliers Award
For the first time, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG has awarded its suppliers - the price is meant as an exceptional seal of quality. In October 2008, the EnBW Suppliers Award paid tribute to outstanding achievements of EnBW's partners and suppliers. Within the scope of a ceremonious gala night in Karlsruhe the price was awarded - amongst others - for the category Information Technology (IT). Here, DSC took first place - an honour we are very proud of.

New
DSC office in Vienna
At the Forum
Energy 2007 Austria, an info day for utilities in
April 2007, DSC discussed current developments and requirements
of the deregulated market with companies like KELAG
AG, Salzburg AG, Wienstrom GmbH, EVN AG, Linz AG, Energie
AG Oberösterreich and Energie Allianz Austria.
In the future it is planned to strengthen this information
exchange. For this reason DSC has opened a new office
in Austria to improve our service for the Austrian customer
base. Henceforth, utility companies in this neighbouring
country will gain direct access from the knowledge and
project experience of DSC. As SAP Special Expertise
Partner for Utilities and Special Expertise Partner
for SAP CRM, DSC holds extensive industry know-how.
Presently, DSC supports SAP in developing the new component
IDEX AE for the Austrian utility market.

Efficient
execution of mass activities with the Mass Activity
Management
Within a utility company a huge amount of mass processes
is arising. Because of unbundling the utility market
the need of a quality-, time- and cost management has
increased.
For an efficient and timesaving handling
of mass activities in IS-U/CCS, DSC developed the Add-On
“Mass Activity Management”.
The automation of routine jobs releases staff members
and enable an ideal working load of technical resources.
At the same time quality assurance is optimized. The
central integration of this DSC product allows planning,
controlling and logging of all mass activities in one
application.

Efficient
Disconnection Management at Technische Werke Ludwigshafen
AG
In
order to optimize utility disconnection in IS-U/CCS,
Technische Werke Ludwigshafen AG has ordered DSC to
implement the Efficient Disconnection Management.
This approved and established component, allows the
monitoring of the complete collection procedure from
a central interface. New collection runs and such that
are up to repetition can be assigned to responsible
field agents and be printed in a package according to
regional and other criteria. Current incoming payments
concerning items relevant to disconnection are considered
automatically. All data sets are available in variable
evaluations. Furthermore, special data bases allow the
monitoring of disconnection documents, whose recovery
by field agents is not promising anymore. Additionally,
the software supports not only an automation in confirmation
of disconnection orders scheduled for each tour but
also especially the usage of a mobile field solution
using standardized interfaces.
The DSC-solution and its additional
components meanwhile have been implemented at 14 utility
companies - and as of January 2007 at Technische Werke
Ludwigshafen for the first time in ERP 2005 - to support
them significantly in process optimization in the collection
management. |
